A designer that might kindly ask to move the forks.
User experiences happen everywhere, on and off screen. So I couldn’t help but notice the challenges my colleagues faced as they attempted a seemingly simple task: holding cutlery while working their way through a self-service catering line. No matter how ambidextrous, collecting forks and knives at the beginning of this “process” inevitably leads to a fair amount of fumbling. Certainly a better solution had to exist for the less acrobatically-inclined, right? I dared to speak up and share the alternative solution of placing these items at the end of the line for collection. I know.
It’s this kind of “mind-blowing” innovation I’ve been cultivating throughout my career. After completing a degree in graphic design and working in the field for many years, I discovered a fit in the field of UX. A field where I can apply my passion for creative problem-solving towards crafting websites and digital products that are engaging, intuitive, and enjoyable. In my UX design career, I’ve tackled large-scale informational websites, fundraising web platforms, social discovery apps, and challenges of personal interest such as improving the flight search process.
